Incredible views. Inexpensive. Rooms have all been updated and are very clean and comfortable. Road is noisy outside but not a problem once in the room. We have stayed twice while visiting VMI, 20 minutes away and out of county, and will continue to stay here as needed. Would recommend to anyone.
This is a great place to stay, and we will stay here whenever travelling in this area. The Wattstull Inn is located on a hill, facing large foothills and Mount Purgatory. Out your window, or sitting in the comfortable chairs on the porch give relaxing, beautiful mountain views. Our room was large and very clean. They have tall ceilings, and one of those bathroom heat lamps on a timer. The carpet looked new. The beds were comfortable, with a large mirror on the wall opposite one of the beds, which we like. The room was dark and quiet at night. The swimming pool and hot tub are on the hill and have great views too. The breakfast was generous, with many, many choices. The hostess and staff were friendly and kind, and accommodating. The online experience was great and the reservation process was easy, and you can even pick your room.
A rare find! A nice family run Inn. Clean and nicely remodeled with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Reminiscence of an ere when these small motels dotted the landscape. A nice change of pace from the branded chains.
